It was an afternoon trip to Dick's Creek near Turner's Corner where there are two waterfalls. I only took pictures of the lower falls because the upper falls had much more activity. I choose to shoot around the people at the lower falls. The falls are about 50 feet of the parking area.
The first picture is on the road out to the falls and, as with the falls, I have taken pictures of this scene before. For some reason, it catches my eye every time we drive past it.

We took a quick trip to Amicalola Falls yesterday and what a contrast from the last time we went there on January 7. There were so many people there yesterday and there were no spaces available in which to park. We found the last space. Also, the weather was very different.
Pictures 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 reveal it all. Particularly, the confluence of water cascading over the falls, which I knew would be the case due to the recent rains. I thought to myself, self, it will be a great day for taking pictures. I was foiled by being packed in shoulder to shoulder. Lesson learned... don't go on the weekends to take pictures. That is for what Monday is designated.
Ahh! The truck in the trees... Legend has it that it is an old moonshine truck that went off the road as they were being chased by the "revenuers." Legends... I thought that I saw the ghost of Robert Micthum in the front seat. Remember 'Thunder Road?' The truck rests about 200 feet from the above road.

Non-graded quiz time... There are no incorrect answers. Although my preferences are eclectic, I like to sample what is preferred from time to time. There are two color renditions and three black from which to choose. Your responses are appreciated. Particularly in this case, it is best to click on a picture to enlarge it for better viewing.

The menu changes every month and has two entrees, a meat and a vegetable entree. Our choice of a drink was an Orange Raspberry Spiced Hot Tea. "It was to die for! The crackers and dip, rolls and spread, soup, salad, and desert were excellent. "There are three seatings each day and it is best to call for reservations, particularly on the weekends.

We took a trip to Maine the other day and walked the Marginal Way at Perkins Cove in Oqunquit. It is a paved trail that is about one mile in length that goes along the coastline. In 2000, Linda and I walked it at least once in each month of the year. And what is a trip to Maine without stopping at Nubble Light.

This is a second post for today and it is of our trip to Chesterfield, NH to visit the ruins of an Madame Sherri's castle. It may be better described as a chateau. See the following link for details:
https://newengland.com/today/travel/new-hampshire/madame-sherris-castle-ruins/
You will see from the link what the structure looked like, however, only the stonework is left and decaying as well. We lived in New Hampshire most of our lives and never knew this place existed. One never knows what they will find as they travel about the area. The last picture is just an example. The grist mill and falls is on the property of Life University in the Marietta. If you want a treat...have lunch it the cafeteria at Kennesaw State University.

These are a few miscellaneous pictures. The first two are of a marsh and of what I call a Woodpecker Condo along a trail. The third is a lighthouse in New Castle and the remainder of an old stone arch bridge. The sign is informative and a close-up of the dry-stacked stones. Then, windblown of the Marginal Way.
