We went to check out the foliage at Gibbs Gardens yesterday afternoon
and was the case when we went to New England recently, the colors where
not as vibrant as last year. That is not to say that there was no
beauty. The skies were partly cloudy, however, when the sun came out
the colors were very nice.
One had to be most
patient, waiting for the sun to re-appear and for the people to move out
of the composition, particularly those that wore bright orange or red
outfits, that stood out in the background. Linda will tell you that if
you look up the word
patient in the dictionary, you will not see my picture there...
The picture of the red leaves is a good example. I waited almost 15
minutes to take this picture from the bottom side of the leaves. They
were almost black in appearance while the sky was cloudy.
